Serving Our World
Trinity members and friends participate in several local and international mission initiatives each year. Some of those opportunities are listed below. You can find these and others in our *NEW* How To Get Connected guide.
We collect food, household paper items, and monetary donations for the local food shelf, Christian Cupboard, which is then delivered every two to three weeks.
Joseph’s Coat Collections
Throughout the year, we collect seasonal clothing articles, household items, and personal care products which are then taken to Joseph’s Coat in St. Paul. Joseph’s Coat has been serving the neediest individuals in St. Paul and its surrounding areas since 1989.
School Tools Drive
We collect school supplies during the summer months to donate to the Extra Innings Tutoring program (see above) as well as to the St. Paul Area Council of Churches’school tools drive. Items that are always welcome are: backpacks, notebooks, calculators, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, rulers, pocket dictionaries, facial tissues, erasers, and glue.
Remember Niger Coalition
Five schools in Niger are currently being supported through our giving to RNC. Our children’s offerings pay for a young girl’s education at one of the schools. Families are encouraged to support additional students.
Through special fundraisers we help provide building materials, desks, health kits, mosquito nets, seeds and fruit trees.
- Trinity financially supports two mission co-worker couples. Jed and Jenny Koball in Peru address root causes of hunger and poverty.
- In Malawi, Africa Tyler Holm is teaching theology to future ministers and his wife Rochelle manages programs that seek to provide low-cost, locally provided water and sanitation solutions.
Alternative Christmas Market
The market takes place for two Sundays in early December. It offers shoppers ways to give Christmas gifts that support a variety of causes that Trinity feels passionate about.
