Deb Kielsmeier - Interim Pastor

Deb has been with Trinity as interim pastor since August of 2015. She previously served in youth and campus ministry, as a missionary in Kenya, and most recently as an associate pastor for several Twin Cities congregations. Deb has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, a Master of Arts in Teaching, a Master’s of Divinity from Luther Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. Deb and her husband Jim love to travel to new places and learn new things. Together they have three grown daughters and six grandchildren. When Deb is not at Trinity, you can find her gardening, quilting, or playing with her grandkids.

Joa Sevlie - Children’s and Youth Director

Joa directs the youth and the children’s programs at Trinity. She is a graduate of Metropolitan State University and Bethel Seminary.  Joa holds a Masters degree in Theology with an emphasis in Transformational Leadership, and a Certificate in Pastoral Counseling.  Joa’s background includes work in a variety of settings (schools, hospitals and non-profits) with survivors of domestic violence and inner city youth and families struggling with issues of drugs, gang violence, and prostitution.
Joa loves teenagers and children. She is passionate about explaining God to them in ways that they understand, and to connect them with God through a hands-on approach.

Neal Strand - Choir Director

Neal has enjoyed all kinds of music from a very young age. He grew up in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, where he met his wife Sandy and earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Business Administration. Neal works at General Mills during the day in information technology communication and training. In addition to making music, Neal enjoys photography and spending time with his wife Sandy and their children Peter and Kelsey.

Jane Wasiluk - Church Musician

Jane grew up in northern Minnesota and has enjoyed being involved in a variety of church music since her teenage years.  She has a undergraduate degree from Concordia College in Moorhead and a Master’s degree in music from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  During the day, she works at Travelers in St. Paul.  Jane and her husband, Rick, enjoy spending time with their four grown children, traveling, running, and skiing.

Kim Vangsgard - Office Administrator

Kim has an associate’s degree in Office Administration and feels called to use her skills and knowledge within the church environment. Kim writes, “I am at my happiest when working for church staff, congregational members and the community.”  She also enjoys expressing her faith through music, particularly voice and playing the harp. Kim grew up in White Bear Lake and now resides in Stillwater with her husband Mark.
