Trinity is a church shaped by God’s grace and our call to grow in Christ and share God’s love. Our vision, beliefs, and history reflect how faith has guided us through the years and continues to lead us today.

Our Beliefs

We believe that God has called us together to be a community of faith in Jesus Christ who alone is Head of the Church.

We believe Christ has commissioned us to advance the Kingdom of God through the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

As a Congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) we believe and affirm:

• Jesus is Lord
• Jesus Christ gives the Church its faith and life, its unity and mission
• The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are God’s Word, inspired by the Holy Spirit, the unique and authoritative witness to Jesus Christ
• God alone is Lord of the conscience
• There are different gifts and different ways of serving God
• God calls both men and women to ministry
• We are called by Christ to reach out and nurture all people in faith
• We are called to a ministry of grace and reconciliation
• In all our human diversity, together we are one body in Christ

• February 1981 – New Church Development Task Force of Presbytery meets
• October 1981- Cedarhurst Mansion in Cottage Grove, MN, is selected as a temporary meeting site
• October 1982- Rev. Richard Underdahl-Pierce is called as first Pastor
• November 1982- Name is chosen – Trinity Presbyterian
• August 1984 – Land purchased for church site at 2125 Tower Rd., Woodbury, MN
• June 1987- Groundbreaking ceremony for new church
• November 1987- First worship service held in the new church
